Lisa Riot is an emerging UK artist working out of her rural Dorset based studio on the edge of the New Forest and Cranborne Chase.
Her principal mediums are sculpture, photography, collage and installation. She is a member of the Dorset Visual Arts Salon Group and works as part of their multidisciplinary group, with whom she regularly collaborates and exhibits. Outside of the Salon group, she collaborates with various Artists, in particular, UK-based Dutch Artist Ineke Van Der Wal and UK-based Soviet Artist and Artisan Yuliya Surnina.
Previously an Architect, Riot worked for large multidisciplinary practices through to small design teams and has worked internationally. She spent her last years in architectural practice as a sole practitioner whilst raising her daughter.
Her wide range of education spans from performing arts through to design, which helps to inform her artistic practice. Her interests in technology, academic research and self-improvement are key drivers of her creative practice.
